Established in 1933, the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) is a national not-for-profit organization representing 24 medical specialty boards which establish and promote educational and professional standards for physician certification. Through these efforts, the nation’s healthcare system and its patients can be assured that physicians certified by ABMS possess the knowledge, skills and experience required to provide quality care in that specialty. Healthcare Business Associates was founded as an independent privately owned corporation.  The mission of this organization is to raise the business standards of ARM healthcare business associates.  Our first step was to establish the healthcare business standards program.  These accreditation standards were suggested and approved by healthcare and ARM business professionals.  Companies that qualify for accreditation and display the AHBA certificate are not receiving a purchase certificate or seal of approval they are guaranteeing compliance to all accreditation standards.  Failure to comply will have consequences and the certificate will be revoked.  Visit the HBA website for companies that qualify.
