Member Constituency Sections
Focus on Shared Interests of Members
The AHA's six Constituency Sections are a unique blend of forum and network, linking members with shared interests and missions. Through the sections, members advise the AHA and raise political, economic and market-driven issues to help shape AHA services and policy.
Each section (see menu at right) is guided by a council composed of 20-24 individuals representing health care leadership from some of the country's leading hospitals and health systems, and serve as representatives of their member's peers.
The Constituency Sections exist to help members make a real difference by:
- making available up-to-the-minute information and learning tools to address the unique concerns of section members
- mobilizing grassroots support for key advocacy positions
- providing opportunities for national recognition and contribution back to the field through serving on councils
- offering networking opportunities to help members connect and learn from each other
