Section for Metropolitan Hospitals

Call for Nominations

The AHA’s Section for Metropolitan Hospitals has over 1100 members from metropolitan/urban, suburban, public and teaching hospitals. To become a section member, the hospital must meet at least one of the following criteria: 1) provide a significant amount of Medicare, Medicaid, and uncompensated care (2) participate in undergraduate and/or graduate medical education programs and research (3) provide high volumes of ambulatory care (4) provide specialized services and (5) are involved in professional and paraprofessional education and training programs.

The section supports the AHA’s goal to broaden member participation in governance and policy activities. AHA members are encouraged to participate in section activities through involvement as a member of the governing council or as a member of one of the AHA’s nine regional policy boards (RPBs).

Through this Call for Nominations, we are seeking recommendations from our members for governing council and RPB openings, for terms beginning January 2008. Please forward your recommendations by April 30, 2007 using the form included in the PDF below.
