AHA Partnerships and Strategic Alliances
AHA works in collaboration with the following organizations.
The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) provides health care professionals with the tools, training and technical assistance necessary to start and sustain successful palliative care programs in hospitals and other health care settings. Located at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, CAPC is a national organization dedicated to increasing the availability of quality palliative care services for people facing serious, complex illness.
The AHA-supported Hospital Quality Alliance (HQA) continues to work to provide more useful information to the public about the quality of the nation’s hospitals and to reduce duplication of insurer, employer and government quality measurement and reporting efforts. The HQA launched the Hospital Compare Web site. Intended for consumers’ use, this Web site has received considerable public attention. In September 2005, measures of surgical infection prevention processes were added to the data being displayed.
