IRS Revised Form 990 with New Hospital Schedule

The Internal Revenue Service \(IRS\) recently released for public comment a completely redesigned Form 990, which includes a 10-page ")core") form and 15 specific schedules that tax-exempt organizations are required to complete, as applicable. Update: June Posting of Mortality Data on Hospital Compare

The American Hospital Association \(AHA\) has communicated with members through advisories and conference calls about new measures the Hospital Quality Alliance \(HQA\) is adding to the information publicly reported on Hospital Compare, a public-private Web site about hospital quality \(www.HospitalCompare.hhs.gov\). The AHA chairs the HQA and supports the addition of these new measures. In June, 30-day mortality data for heart attack and heart failure patients will be publicly available for the first time on Hospital Compare. Learn More
