The AHA hosted a special briefing on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' proposed rule for the new accountable care organizations program during the AHA annual meeting on Sunday, April 10. Jack Ebeler, a principal with Health Policy Alternatives Inc., and Nicholas Wolter, M.D., CEO of the Billings (MT) Clinic, discussed the proposed program structure and how it compares to CMS' earlier Physician Group Practice demonstration program, in which Billings Clinic was a participant.
