About Hospice of the Valley: Hospice of the Valley provides hospice and palliative care to patients and families in central Arizona. Currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, the not-for-profit agency is among the nation’s oldest and largest hospices. More than 17,000 patients and families were served last year – about 13,000 in the hospice program and the rest were cared for by the palliative care program. Hospice of the Valley employs 1,400 people and is supported by 2,200 volunteers.
