Getting to Zero: How Hospitals Can Use Rapid Tests to Virtually Eliminate HIV Transmission
Thursday, September 10th 2009
Using rapid tests in L&D and the nursery is rapidly becoming widespread across the U.S. Join us to learn how
your hospital can adopt the latest and best practices. One of HRET's goals is to increase the number of hospitals working to eliminate perinatal HIV transmission by following CDC's guidelines using rapid screening in labor and delivery for women with undocumented HIV status.
Open to hospital staff from labor and delivery, nursery, emergency, laboratory, infectious disease, and pharmacy, this workshop will discuss implementing perinatal rapid-screening HIV tests at your facility.
Note: Continuing Education credits will be offered (free of charge): CME, CNE, CEU and CHES
