CAH Replacement Facilities

Many CAH-designated hospitals were built 50 years ago, with Hill-Burton funds. Renovations to these aging facilities may be too costly or simply impossible.  A number of CAHs are in the process of building replacement facilities or have recently replaced the hospital.

Shoshone Medical Center, Kellogg, ID, North Valley Hospital, Whitefish, MT, and Community Hospital of Bremen, Bremen, IN, are examples of CAHs that have gone through the replacement process.
