Circle of Life Award
The AHA Circle of Life Award honors innovative programs in palliative and end-of-life care. The award is supported in part by the California Healthcare Foundation, based in Oakland, California. Major sponsors for the 2008 award are AARP, the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, the American Hospital Association, the Catholic Health Association, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization & National Hospice Foundation. The Center for Practical Bioethics is an award co-sponsor.
The 2009 award is supported, in part, by the California Healthcare Foundation, based in Oakland, California, and by the Archstone Foundation. Major sponsors of these awards are the American Hospital Association, the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, the Catholic Health Association, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization & National Hospice Foundation; the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association are Circle of Life cosponsors.
