2009 Winners

The 2009 AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize winner is Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan.  The finalist is Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts.  A Citation of Merit is awarded to Duke University Hospital, Durham, North Carolina.

2008 Winners

The 2008 AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize winner is Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, Michigan.  The finalist is the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Citations of Merit are awarded to Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Saint Vincent Health Center, Erie, Pennsylvania.

2007 Winners

The 2007 AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize winner was Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. Finalists were Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California and INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Citations of Merit were being given to Amarillo VA Health Care System in Amarillo, Texas, and McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

2006 Winners

2005 Winners

The 2005 AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize was presented to North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Mississippi.  Two finalist awards were given to El Camino Hospital, Mountain View, California, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, New York City.  A Citation of Merit was awarded to Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, Allentown, Pennsylvania.  Please read their profiles in this booklet.  A copy of the booklet can be requested through the contact section of this website or by calling 312/422-2700.

2004 Winners

The 2004 winner was Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA.  Finalists were The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltmore, MD, and Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE.  A Citation of Merit was awarded to Advocate Health Care, Oak Brook, IL.  Their stories appear in the September 2004 Hospitals & Health Networks (click here for a link to the story); a booklet with the stories can be requested from questforquality@aha.org.

2003 Winners

The prize for 2003 was awarded to Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA.  Finalists were Beaumont Hospitals in Royal Oak, MI, and the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI. Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA, received a Citation of Merit. Read their stories in the September 2003 Hospitals & Health Networks by clicking here.

2002 Winners

In 2002, the prize's first year, Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis was honored. Finalists were Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA, and Children's Hospitals & Clinics, Minneapolis.
