Self-Assessment Examinations (SAE)

Self Assessment Examinations (SAE) are online tools created by the AHA Certification Center (the same people who create the Certification Examinations) to simulate the Certification Examination in format and content. The CHC, CHESP, CHFM, CMRP and CPHRM are available now.

The extra value of the SAE comes in the form of pragmatic feedback to test-takers. Rationale is provided for correct and incorrect responses on the CHC, CHESP, CHFM, CMRP and CPHRM practice tests.  You are also provided several score reports that indicate how well you scored in each topic area. And all of this occurs from the privacy of your office, home or wherever you decide to access the SAE.

Here’s how it works:

• Click here to purchase the SAE by credit card. The cost of an CHC, CHESP, CHFM, CMRP or CPHRM SAE to a member of an AHA Personal Membership Group is $115, while nonmembers pay $200. 
• Within 24 hours, you will receive an email that confirms your purchase and provides your user name, unique password, and a link to the SAE.
• Click on the link to the SAE and begin. The test may be taken in a 2-hour period to simulate the Examination, or over a 90-day period. The software will remember your answers from session to session.
• After each item is answered, the explanation for correct and incorrect responses appears. The immediate feedback makes this a unique study tool.
• After you have finished the test or your 90 days expire, you will be sent three feedback reports that identify your strengths and areas in need of additional study. Candidates can use the feedback to hone skills before taking the Examination. Current certificants can claim five contact hours of continuing professional education toward renewal of  certification by submitting copy of the Individual Mastery report with their Renewal Application at the time of renewal.
