Cybersecurity-Awareness-Month

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Since 2004, the president of the United States and Congress have declared October to be Cybersecurity Awareness Month, helping organizations and individuals protect themselves online as threats to technology and confidential data become more commonplace.

The need to stay vigilant against these threats doesn’t end with October. All year every year, both cyber threats and physical threats to the hospital environment pose significant risks to patient safety and functions throughout your enterprise. The AHA offers resources and services to help you better prepare for, prevent and mitigate cyberattacks and physical security threats so your hospital or health system can maintain clinical continuity during prolonged outages.

NEW: Assess your cyber readiness with a self-assessment developed by the AHA and Joint Commission.
