The American Hospital Association’s new digital campaign will help patients and consumers better understand the evolving role of the nation’s hospitals. The campaign’s website www.AdvancingHealthinAmerica.org highlights how hospitals are focusing not only on providing care within their four walls, but also creating partnerships and programs that improve community health.
“Share Your Story” lets patients, caregivers and others talk about the ways hospitals are reaching out to their communities to provide care where patients need it most.
A new video illustrates hospitals’ transformation to more community-based care.
The site also houses resources about innovative community-building programs and efforts to increase health coverage and access to health care.
This campaign is part of a larger effort of America’s hospitals to better communicate with patients, caregivers and community members about the evolving nature of America’s hospitals. Using this website and other social media efforts, the American Hospital Association hopes to bring this message to communities across the country, highlighting the importance of collaboration and proactive patient care.
