AHA SMARTMARKET ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH
ILLINOIS HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION
CHICAGO (November 18, 2014) – AHA SmartMarket™, the new platform launched by the American Hospital Association, and the Illinois Hospital Association (IHA) have announced a new partnership that connects local health care professionals with their peers and vendors.
AHA SmartMarket, a social collaboration platform developed exclusively for the health care field, is an interactive medium that enables health care professionals to search products and services, rate and review product performance and collaborate with a network of trusted peers and experts. Through AHA SmartMarket, IHA members can connect with local and national vendors who can provide effective solutions to challenges unique to their organizations. The social platform facilitates a collaborative environment where users can create a dialogue and establish connections.
“The AHA and our state association partners share a common goal of supporting health care performance improvement,” said Anthony Burke, president of AHA SmartMarket and AHA senior vice president. “By joining forces to offer one centralized platform that provides health care professionals a way to collaborate and direct access to vendors and service providers, we can collectively offer a simple way to connect market leading organizations while increasing the awareness of small and local companies.”
Illinois Hospital Association President and CEO Maryjane Wurth says, “Our members are in the midst of a health care transformation, looking for unique ways to reduce costs while continuing to provide high-quality health care. AHA SmartMarket is an excellent resource for our members who are continually seeking knowledge and insight to improve their delivery of health care and ultimately, better serve their patient populations.”
AHA SmartMarket is a free service to all health care professionals working in hospitals, health care systems and similar care provider settings such as physician’s offices, long-term care facilities, surgical centers, outpatient clinics and ambulatory care centers.
