Rich Umbdenstock, AHA President and CEO
I have been in the hospital field my entire professional life, but I cannot recall a time when hospitals have had a more urgent need for dialogue. With so much change afoot, the need to rethink, re-examine and regroup is constant. Together, we can identify emerging trends, gain insight into the thinking of those who are already making the legislative and regulatory decisions that will confront us next and formulate an effective, proactive approach. A vital opportunity to exchange views with colleagues and hear from Washington’s movers and shakers is the 2012 AHA Annual Membership Meeting May 6-9. We’ll have an impressive lineup of prominent speakers who are at the center of health care policy and politics, including Acting CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner. And during this important election year, we will join together to bring our message to Capitol Hill. I strongly recommend that you be there and be heard.
