Neither Rain, Nor Sleet . . .

Rich Umbdenstock, AHA President and CEO

The dedication of the men and women who work in, volunteer for and support America's hospitals is incredible. Whether they are caring for patients, maintaining facilities or serving as trustees, their reliable efforts define them as stakeholders committed to maintaining access to hospital care for patients in the community. As Congress approaches a series of fiscal flashpoints in the weeks ahead, these stakeholders need to know that hospitals' ability to maintain the access to care patients and communities expect is threatened. And they need to let their legislators know what further cuts would mean in your community. The AHA has a terrific new animated video that explains it all in clear terms that should be useful to hospital employees and other stakeholders in the community. I hope you'll share it with your hospital's stakeholders and as another tool in urging others in the hospital family to make their voices heard.

Thanks,
Rich
