Thanks to Boston’s Hospitals

Rich Umbdenstock, AHA President and CEO

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by yesterday’s senseless Boston Marathon bombings – those who were wounded, the families who lost loved ones, the people of Massachusetts, the running community and so many others who witnessed the tragedy. On behalf of all the men and women who keep the doors of America’s hospitals open every hour of every day, the American Hospital Association expresses its pride and gratitude to our colleagues in Boston’s hospitals. They put their skills and preparation to work immediately to treat scores of people wounded in the blasts. In doing so, they provided a community and a nation with a badly needed sense of order and the security of knowing that, even when the unthinkable happens, hospitals are there to help. Thank you.

Thanks,
Rich
