Electronic Clinical Quality Measures

Electronic clinical quality measures, or eCQMs, have the potential to increase access to real-time information to support quality improvement but challenges persist.

eCQM reporting must be based upon information that is feasible to collect in an automated fashion, generate valid and reliable results, and thereby demonstrate a benefit that outweighs the costs.
