AHA urges OIG to halt extrapolated Medicare audits, recoupments

The AHA last week urged the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General Office of Audit Services to immediately cease conducting hospital compliance reviews and extrapolating the findings of the audits to estimate Medicare overpayments to hospitals.
