Video: Meet the 2020 AHA Board Chair Melinda L. Estes, M.D.
Melinda L. Estes, M.D., began her career in health care as a neurologist and neuropathologist studying the formation of scars in brain tissue. Today, as president and CEO of Kansas City-based Saint Luke’s Health System, she oversees the operations of 18 hospitals and campuses; marquee heart, neuroscience, cancer, and rehabilitation institutes; home care and hospice; behavioral health care; more than 100 physician practices and retail clinics; senior living communities; and more. Dr. Estes is the 2020 Chair of the AHA Board of Trustees. Watch the video below to learn more about her background, key priorities and what she is most excited about for her year as AHA chair.
