The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today extended the comment period for its proposed rule that would overhaul the requirements that long-term care facilities must meet to participate in Medicare and Medicaid. The original Sept. 14 comment deadline was extended through Oct. 14. For more on the proposed rule, see the AHA Regulatory Advisory for members.
