AtlantiCare Nursing Leader Named AONE CEO, AHA Chief Nursing Officer

Robyn Begley, vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer for AtlantiCare, a member of Geisinger, will join the AHA in September as senior vice president and chief nursing officer and CEO of its American Organization of Nurse Executives subsidiary, the association announced today. As CEO of AONE, Begley will lead a membership organization of more than 9,700 nurse leaders. She also will play a leadership role in a number of key AHA initiatives involving workforce development, quality and safety, and future care delivery models, and ensure the perspective and needs of nurse leaders are heard and addressed in public policy issues related to nursing and patient care. “Robyn is known as an innovative leader in the field, and we are pleased to have her bring decades of real-world experience to her new role with AONE and the AHA,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “Robyn will bring her unique perspective to the development of ideas that address the challenges and opportunities of rapid transformation in the field.” Begley currently serves as a member of the AONE board and chair of the AONE Foundation board.
