Poll: Prescription drug costs concern for many U.S. adults
Eight in 10 U.S. adults say prescription drug costs are “unreasonable,” and one in four say their prescription medicines are difficult to afford, according to the latest Kaiser Family Foundation Health Tracking Poll. The groups most likely to report difficulty affording their medications include people with monthly drug costs of $100 or more, in fair or poor health, with annual incomes under $40,000 or taking at least four drugs monthly. Three in 10 adults reported not taking their medicines as prescribed due to the cost.
