Tennessee hospital leader to retire
Tennessee Hospital Association President and CEO Craig Becker will retire later this year after more than 25 years in the role. Prior to joining THA, Becker served as president of the Maine Hospital Association from 1989 to 1993, and as vice president of government relations at the New Jersey Hospital Association from 1985 to 1989. He recently completed a three-year term on the AHA Board of Trustees. “Craig Becker is a valued leader, partner and friend to the American Hospital Association, who has dedicated his career to advancing health in America,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “America’s hospitals, health systems and patients are better off because of Craig’s leadership, his dedication to innovation and diversity, and his contributions as a member of the AHA Board of Trustees. We’re going to miss Craig’s valuable insight and wish him well in retirement.” THA’s Board of Directors has appointed a committee to conduct a national search for his successor.
