The AHA’s Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management today presented its 2015 George R. Gossett Leadership Award to Brent Johnson, president and CEO of group purchasing organization Amerinet Inc. Before joining Amerinet, Johnson served as vice president of strategic sourcing at Intermountain Healthcare, based in Salt Lake City. He currently serves on the AHRMM board and chairs its Annual Conference Education Committee. “Brent Johnson is an outspoken proponent of health care supply chain management and challenges current thinking, strategies and paradigms to facilitate supply chain improvement and value creation,” said Christopher O'Connor, AHRMM immediate past chair. “…He demonstrates leadership, advocacy, and commitment to both AHRMM and the health care supply chain.” AHRMM is an AHA personal membership group for health care materials management executives. The award, the group’s highest honor, was presented at AHRMM’s annual conference in Indianapolis. For more information, visit www.ahrmm.org.
