Peter Urbanowicz, chief of staff for Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, will leave the department in June, with Deputy Chief of Staff Brian Harrison promoted to fill the vacancy, the HHS announced yesterday. Urbanowicz plans to return to his home in Texas. Earlier in his career, Urbanowicz served as executive vice president and general counsel for Tenet Healthcare. “I have known Peter and Brian for a combined time of more than 30 years, and we could not have accomplished what we have without the strong team they formed,” Azar said. “In his role as Deputy Chief of Staff, Brian has demonstrated remarkable leadership and managerial talents, and I am proud to promote him to a new role where he will continue to lead.”
