CMS updates FAQ on radiation oncology model
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Friday released an updated Frequently Asked Questions document on the five-year bundled payment model for radiation oncology that will be mandatory in certain areas of the country beginning Jan. 1.
Under a final rule released last month, participants in the Radiation Oncology Model will receive a bundled payment for 90-day episodes of radiation therapy for 16 disease sites, including breast, lung, prostate and colorectal cancer.
