Mental Health Services
The primary function of an inpatient psychiatric program or hospital is to provide diagnostic and treatment services (24 hours a day) for patients who have psychiatric disorders. Similarly, the primary function of an inpatient alcohol and drug program or hospital is to provide diagnostic and treatment services (24 hours a day) for patients with addiction disorders.
