Date
Wed, Jan 13, 2027, 12:00 PM CST – Wed, Jan 13, 2027, 01:00 PM CSTDescription
America's hospitals and health systems share a common mission: to advance the health of all individuals and communities. An estimated one in four Americans lives with a disability, and too often, people with disabilities face barriers to care, experience poorer health outcomes and report lower satisfaction with the care they receive.
As part of an ongoing effort to improve care for individuals with disabilities, the AHA is hosting a series of listening sessions to gather insights from hospital leaders, clinicians, caregivers, community partners, individuals living with disabilities and other stakeholders.
These discussions are designed to advance understanding of accessible care, reduce disparities in health outcomes, and highlight efforts to improve disability competence.
Join us to share experiences, identify challenges and shape future efforts to improve care for people with disabilities.
