How Digital Can Enable an Effective COVID-19 Behavioral Health Strategy
Wednesday, June 17, 2020
1 - 2 p.m. Eastern; noon - 1 p.m. Central; 10 - 11 a.m. Pacific
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to threaten our country and strain many hospitals and health systems. To continue treatment for psychiatric and substance use disorders during the pandemic, behavioral health providers have re-engineered care processes, developed new care protocols, created COVID-19-positive psychiatric units, and utilized digital solutions, including telepsychiatry, more broadly than ever before.
Experts anticipate continued adoption of digital solutions to improve access to behavioral health care and provide patients and providers with critical tools to manage mental health and substance use disorders. Yet, hospitals and health systems need tools and guidance to help them make informed decisions given the myriad digital solutions on the market.
The American Hospital Association, together with AVIA, the nation's leading digital transformation partner for healthcare organizations, invite you to join us for a webinar that will allow you to:
- Hear how hospitals and health systems have successfully deployed digital solutions to provide access to behavioral health care treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Learn about the variety of high-impact, evidence-based care models and digital solutions addressing a multiplicity of behavioral health care needs.
- Understand how to assess your own organization’s behavioral health capabilities and identify opportunities for digital innovation.
This session will feature speakers from leading health systems across both the AHA and AVIA networks, and it will be facilitated by Rebecca Chickey, AHA’s Senior Director, Behavioral Health Services, and David Smith, AVIA’s Medicaid Transformation Project Executive.
