Employment at the nation's hospitals rose by 0.27% in November to a seasonally adjusted 4,973,500 people, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. That's 13,400 more people than in October and 166,600 more than a year ago. Without the seasonal adjustment, which removes the effect of fluctuations due to seasonal events, hospitals employed 4,984,100 people in November – 14,300 more than in October and 167,900 more than a year ago. The nation's overall unemployment rate was unchanged in November to 5%.
