ASHE recognizes hospitals for cutting energy consumption
The American Society for Healthcare Engineering will present its 2017 Energy Champion Award to Barnesville Hospital in Ohio and Energy to Care Awards to dozens of hospitals for slashing energy use. The Energy to Care program recognizes hospitals that reduce their annual energy use by 10% or more and prior winners who reduce it an additional 5%. Barnesville Hospital recorded an ENERGY STAR score of 99. The society will honor these hospitals and the winners of its energy savings competition for local affiliated chapters at its 54th Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition Aug. 6-9 in Indianapolis.
