Congress passes stop-gap spending bill
Congress today passed a continuing resolution funding certain federal programs through Dec. 21, preventing a shutdown of those programs tomorrow when their current funding expires. Congress has already approved legislation funding the departments of Health and Human Services, Defense and Labor through fiscal year 2019.
