The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will host a Feb. 14 call for clinicians and other interested stakeholders on new opioid policies for Medicare Part D plans that took effect Jan. 1. The policies include improved safety alerts when patients fill opioid prescriptions at the pharmacy, and drug management programs for patients at-risk for misuse or abuse of opioids or other drugs.
