This is Patient Safety Awareness Week. Initiated by the National Patient Safety Foundation, now part of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the annual week provides an opportunity for health care organizations to highlight their patient safety work and resources. AHA will highlight the work of member hospitals on its website and through social media. This is also Health Care Human Resources Week, sponsored by the AHA’s American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, which will highlight exemplary teamwork and innovative initiatives by HR professionals across the care continuum.
