Azar expanding HHS leadership team
Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar today announced he will promote Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Judy Stecker to additionally serve as deputy chief of staff for operations and strategy, effective upon her return from maternity leave. Azar said he also will soon name a deputy chief of staff for policy, who with Stecker will serve under Chief of Staff Brian Harrison, who was recently promoted to that position. “This organizational update will create a unified planning and reporting structure across the Department’s leadership, providing new opportunities for coordinated goal-setting and execution as part of our strategic vision,” Azar said.
