The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services last week released the first data from its Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS), an initiative to improve the scope and quality of state-reported Medicaid data. Researchers may submit requests to access the T-MSIS data through a data use agreement containing strict beneficiary privacy and data security requirements. For more information, visit www.resdac.org. CMS also last week updated its Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program scorecard, a federal dashboard of state health system and administrative performance in the Medicaid and CHIP programs. The update includes a number of new measures.
