More than 818,000 people selected a 2021 health plan through HealthCare.gov Nov. 1-7, the first week of open enrollment, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced yesterday. About eight in 10 were renewing coverage and the rest were new consumers. Thirty-six states are using HealthCare.gov for 2021 open enrollment, which runs through Dec.15. CMS plans to update the estimates weekly during the open enrollment period.
