CMS announces grants for states to enforce ACA coverage provisions
States may apply until Jan. 20 for grants to implement and enforce certain market reforms and consumer protections to strengthen the private health insurance market under the Affordable Care Act, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced last week. The State Flexibility to Stabilize the Market Cycle II Grant Program will provide a funding source to help states implement the ACA’s guaranteed availability, guaranteed renewability and non-discrimination of coverage provisions. Letters of intent to apply are due Dec. 11.
