AHA podcast spotlights community programs from Foster G. McGaw Prize winner ProMedica
On this AHA podcast, Kate Sommerfeld, president of social determinants of health at ProMedica, discusses how the health system leveraged community partnerships to address the social and economic issues, such as food insecurity and teen violence, that affect health status in the Greater Toledeo, Ohio, area. ProMedica’s innovative collaborations earned the AHA Foster G. McGaw Prize, which annually recognizes hospitals and health systems that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to community service. Applications for the next Foster G. McGaw Prize are due July 31.
