House to consider continuing resolution funding government through Dec. 3

The House today is expected to consider a continuing resolution that would generally extend current federal funding levels for health care and all other programs through Dec. 3. The legislation also would provide $28.6 billion in disaster relief; $6.3 billion to support evacuees from Afghanistan; and suspend the statutory debt limit through December 2022. It is unclear when the Senate would vote on the measure. Current government funding expires on Sept. 30.
