USDA awards $43 million in ARPA rural health care grants
The Department of Agriculture yesterday awarded $43 million in grants to help rural hospitals and health care providers implement telehealth and nutrition assistance programs, increase staffing to administer COVID-19 vaccines and testing, build or renovate facilities and purchase medical supplies. The grants are the first awards from $475 million in emergency rural health care grants authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act.
