States can apply for Community Behavioral Health Clinic planning grants
State Medicaid, mental health and other agencies can apply through Dec. 19 for up to $1 million each to develop Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration expects to award up to 15 planning grants to states that have not already applied to participate in the CCBHC demonstration. CCBHCs must provide 24/7 access to crisis services and routine outpatient care within 10 business days of initial contact. They also must serve anyone who requests care for mental health or substance use, regardless of their ability to pay, place of residence or age.
