Nearly 20.4 million people selected a 2024 health plan through the federally facilitated and state-based Health Insurance Marketplaces between Nov. 1 and Dec. 23, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reported Jan. 10. About 82% of enrollees were renewing coverage and the rest were new consumers.

Thirty-two states are using the federal platform for 2024 open enrollment, which runs through Jan. 15. AHA’s #GetCovered webpage offers resources to help people choose the best coverage for themselves and their families.
