2024 Marketplace enrollment surpasses 21 million
A record 21.3 million people selected a 2024 health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplaces during the open enrollment period, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reported Jan. 24. About three-quarters of enrollees were renewing coverage and the rest were new consumers. 2024 open enrollment ended Jan. 15 for the federally facilitated marketplace, but continues through Jan. 31 in several state-based marketplaces.
