MACPAC recommends changes to Medicaid managed care external quality review, home- and community-based services

The Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission released its March 2025 report to Congress March 13. The first chapter makes three recommendations on improving the external quality review process in Medicaid managed care. Chapter two focuses on enhancing timely access to home- and community-based services. The final chapter analyzes the federal administrative requirements for HCBS programs and makes a recommendation on reducing states’ administrative burden.
