The Department of Health and Human Services July 28 announced the creation of a $100 million pilot program to prevent, test for, treat and cure hepatitis C for individuals with substance use disorder or a serious mental illness. The program will focus on communities severely affected by homelessness. The pilot was developed and will be administered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
