The Department of Health of Human Services Aug. 21 issued a request for information seeking feedback on immunization categories within the Aug. 10 executive order announcing changes to the federal government’s recommended childhood vaccine schedule. HHS seeks information on whether recommendations for immunizations categorized as universal, risk-based and shared clinical decision-making are clear and understood. HHS also requests input on whether the agency should adopt additional or different categories. Comments are due to HHS by Sept. 20.
