Agencies deny recertification of 2 independent dispute resolution entities
The departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and the Treasury announced yesterday the denial of the recertification of two entities currently participating in the federal independent dispute resolution process under the No Surprises Act. The agencies determined that Island Peer Review Organization, Inc., and Network Medical Review Company, LLC, failed to meet required minimum performance standards and are no longer eligible to accept new IDR disputes. Parties with open disputes will receive additional guidance from the agencies. The agencies said they are reviewing petitions to deny the recertification of eight other certified IDR entities.
